The Center of Your Web Universe
Your website is still the most important part of your internet arsenal. Much of the other work you do is to shine a light on your site and to lead traffic and ultimately generate leads for your business.
WordPress is a “content management system”. It stores all your pages, posts, images, links and forms in a big database, then serves them up onto webpages as you need them.
Images can be re-used. You can optimize every aspect of your site, and what’s more you can change the look of your site at the click of a button.
The very best thing about WordPress is that search engines love it. If you want to be number one in search, or at least on page one for the basic phrases in your industry, don’t go with anything else.
Invisibility Doesn’t Work
There are lots of ways to create a website. You’ve probably seen the cheap ones… sites like GoDaddy will tell you can create a website for next to nothing, but what you get is also worth next to nothing.
I have several clients with sites built on these cheap platforms and here is what I can tell you about them:
THEY ARE (nearly) INVISIBLE TO SEARCH ENGINES!
So please, be smart with your website and start with a platform like WordPress that is highly visible to search engines.
What You Need to Know About Web Presence
You can read through these pages and I will tell you what you need to do to create a real web presence. Take the time to learn and feel free to contact me any time if you get stuck.
This is a list of things you need to do to create a web presence around your website. You’ll see this same list in the top right of your screen.
If you hover over the “Web Presence” text in the menu bar above you will see some of this list as well. These are the additional things you will need to net clients on the internet.
Seriously, is this the sort of positioning you want for your web presence?
Why fight for a place on the beach when you can enjoy a more dominant position?
I hope you enjoy my website and learn from it! Please do contact me if you would like to know more. I am always happy to talk to folks about how they are doing and how to improve!
